The Journal of Ferrari History
Cavallino is the journal of Ferrari history, covering Ferraris old and new for over 40 years. It's the most reliable, most trusted source of everything Ferrari. Ever since the first issue in 1978 Cavallino presents extensive stories and detailed information from knowledgeable experts and enthusiasts who share the passion for Ferrari. All Ferraris are unique, and each one has its own chassis serial number. This is how the Ferrari world keeps track of all the great cars. Cavallino is the only publication that prints the serial number for every Ferrari mentioned in our stories, articles, and race results.

Tanney Rains has hampered this charming show in Greenwich, Connecticut, over the last few years (and many other shows as well), although the entrants still brought out their cars and the true enthusiasts came to enjoy, but such are the vagaries of weather in the northeast in summer. However, this year was exceptional, with sunny skies during most of the three day event. |

Despite heavy rain on the preceding day, and the continuing threat from the dark clouds that swirled in a stiff breeze, a large number of Ferrari from Germany and the surrounding countries descended on the venue, to make it a truly international gathering. |

| 15 | Notizie | The Ennstal Classic Steiermark Region, Austria, July 20-23, 2005 Hugo Garritsen Hugo Garritsen The beautiful Steiermark region in Austria was the venue for the 13th time of the Ennstal Classic, a regularity race run in four stages. 182 cars were entered and sixteen of the where Ferraris. There where some great historic Ferraris on the list, including a 225 S Vignale Coupe, s/n 0170 ET, a class winner of the 1952 Italian Hillclimb Championship, and therefore a fitting car to start this Ennstal Classic where almost all roads lead to the Alps! |

Organized by the Veteran Car Club Panormus in Palermo and its enthusiastic president, Edoardo Vetri, each year the Giro takes historic sports and racing cars on a circuit of the island over a period of five days. Going back almost one hundred years in history it claims to be the oldest motoring event still in existence. | |
| 17 | Notizie | F1 demonstration at Zandvoort Barron Racing Hugo Garritsen Hugo Garritsen The Marlboro Masters of Formula Three has been held for 15 years in a row on the Dutch dunes circuit of Zandvoort, and with winners such as David Coulthard, Jos Verstwrappen and Takuma Sato, and this was its final edition on June 12. Over the years, Marlboro invited the Scuderia Ferrari to give demonstrations with their G.P. cars and drivers, and this resulted in a track records for Luca Badoer in 2002. |

Non of the big cars sold, except for one, and a good deal of the memorabilia never found a home. He has always had his collection available to friends and special visitors, but now he has taken the step of making his many treasures available to more enthusiasts, by opening a special gallery/museum called the "Art Galleria Luce" in his home town of Nagoya, Japan. |

Crista Barnes Lorena Cisilia After saying our farewells to Brescia, the due pilotesse that we are hopped into our zippy Mercedes A180 and set out bright and early for the next destination on our gastronomic tour of the Mille Miglia. Our itinerary indicated that we were to visit Verona for lunch and Ferrari for dinner. Knowing that we would be eating quite well that night, we decided to take it easy in Verona and let our senses be our guide throughout the famous city. |

The total production run for the two models was thirty one cars, although the breakdown has defied precise historical analysis to date. The reason for this is that some three liter (250) examples were upgraded to 4.5 liter (375) specification, and in some cases the reverse occurred. |
